Do you wish you could measure the social media for a specific url? Let say for example you have a real estate listing --- you've spent all your time and effort using social media to market it and now you want to know how many users are clicking, sharing, and commenting on a specific real estate property listing using Twitter and Facebook. I recently found a web site called BackType that can help you understand your social impact.

BackType, not only provides analytics on  specific url's but also allows you to compare multiple links. Thus, helping you make better marketing decisions. Find out what property listings are hot and others that need more engagement!

As an example I used the following url:

http://mashable.com/2010/12/28/ipad-2-rumors-the-comprehensive-guide/

The information provided below shows the comparison between shares, comments, and tweets for this specific link.

As a real estate agent, you can actually use the information to help you determine where to best spend your time. For example, What time of the day do you receive the most engagement? How do your Twitter comments compare to your Facebook comments? What social media tool work the best for you? If you use or have experience with this service, please share! Post a comment or question.

Facebook is the future! This is not a joke, I'm serious. It's getting to the point, if it's not already, where every business will NEED a business profile on Facebook. Every major, minor, and local business and their mothers already have one, and it's only going to become more and more necessary.

Facebook also offers advertising opportunities for anyone who wants to advertise. The reason you see the specific advertisements you see on the right side of Facebook is because you were selected to see them. When you purchase ad time with Facebook, you decide who views your ads based on the demographics you choose based on age, gender, occupation, interests, etc.

Seriously, social media, but specifically Facebook, is going to be an integral part of a business' success. They know what they're doing and they're only going to become more and more massive and dominating.

Also, Facebook just announced that they're going public, so I recommend buying some stock as soon as it does.
